What is mindful yoga?

The mindful approach I take to yoga focuses on the slow flow, tuning in to the more meditative aspects of the practice. 

  • We take our time in each pose

  • We pause between poses, giving us time to connect with ourselves and notice what’s going on

  • We approach ourselves with kindness, dismissing any negative inner voices

  • We turn our attention inward, focusing on bodily sensations, areas of tension, stray thoughts and our breath.

Why do I want it? 

The most important thing about this yoga practice is that it’s accessible to everyone – you don’t even need to be able to touch your toes to start! It’s not about looking great in yoga pants, it’s about treating yourself with self-compassion and making each pose work for you.

Through practicing mindful yoga you’ll develop the awareness to connect fully with both your emotions and your body, slowing down and being present in the moment. 

What’s your experience of delivering it?

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years and had my own studio for 4 years before moving to Florida in 2015. Since then, I have taught individuals, workplaces, and teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

I offer private 1:1 and private small-group yoga sessions by appointment.

    I offer one-hour private yoga sessions in your home or place of work within the city of Tampa.

  • SMALL GROUP SESSIONS

    Group classes for your friends or family. Held in the privacy of your Tampa home.
